Intermediate Organizations

The Directorate for Intermediate Organizations (DINTE) promotes the strengthening of relations between thematic and development NGOs, unions, universities, sports associations and federations and their foreign counterparts, and it promotes efforts to increase the presence of these institutions in international fora and other settings.

In coordination with the internal divisions of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it carries out the following actions:

  • Promoting participation and consultations between civil society organizations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship in international areas and initiatives that are particularly relevant to the development of foreign policy.
  • Assisting and supporting civil society organizations in linkages with their foreign counterparts, collaborating with their insertion into the international arena.
  • Disseminating and promoting the activities of civil society organizations in areas that are relevant to the international agenda.
  • Creating spaces for dialogue, in collaboration with other offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship and other competent sections of other Ministries, as well as designing joint strategies and actions with Universities, aimed at strengthening their international influence and channelling their contributions to different aspects of foreign policy.
  • Serving as the Executive Secretary of the Universities Consultative Council.
  • Promoting and contributing, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Sports, to the dissemination of Argentine sports and the development of the activities carried out abroad by Argentine sports associations, federations and confederations.
  • Serving as liaison body for the management and implementation of Cooperation Agreements on Sports between Argentine and foreign organizations.
  • Taking any appropriate action with regard to the granting of sponsorships by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship and other bodies, as well as declaring meetings, seminars, congresses, conferences and other events to be of national interest in view of their contribution to the implementation of State policies.
