1. Do I need a visa to visit the Argentine Republic for tourism? Certain nationalities are exempted from visa requirements to enter Argentina for tourism. To know if your nationality requires a tourist visa for travel to Argentina, please click on the following link:

3. Do I need a visa to attend a Congress or Fair in the Argentine Republic? Certain nationalities are exempted from visa requirements to attend Congresses, Conferences or Fairs in Argentina. To know if your nationality requires a visa to attend this kind of events in Argentina, please contact the Consular Office of the Argentine Republic in your place of residence.

4. What are the requirements for writing a letter of invitation to a foreigner?You will find the invitation letter requirements by clicking on the following link:

5. Once the invitation letter has been written and certified, do I have to go to the Foreign Ministry? No. You must send the original letter of invitation, previously signed before an Argentine Notary Public and certified by the relevant Association of Notaries Public, by post to the Consular Office where you will apply for the visa. The only exception applies to visas for members of the Catholic Church clergy,. 6. May I send the letter of invitation to the Consulate or Embassy by email?No. In accordance with migration regulations, the original invitation letter must be sent by post to the relevant Consular Office.

9. What is the RENURE and how do I register with it? The RENURE is the Single National Registry of Foreign Applicants of the National Directorate of Migration. Any individual or entity wishing to invite foreigners to Argentina must be registered with the RENURE prior to the visa application. This requirement does not apply to tourist visas, family reunification visas or when the inviting entity is the Catholic Church. For information on registration with the RENURE, you can call 4317-0289.

No. According to applicable migration regulations, the visa application must be submitted in person. You should contact the relevant Consular Office to begin the application process. 13. May I apply for a visa on arrival? No. Visas on arrival are not contemplated by Argentina's migration regulations; therefore, you should apply for your visa at the relevant Consular Office.

14. Where may I send additional questions regarding visas to enter Argentina? You may send additional questions to this Ministry's Visas Department, to the email consultasvisas@cancilleria.gov.ar. The Visas Department does not reply to consultations by telephone. In no case will information be provided on particular visa applications, given its confidential caracter. If you have questions regarding a particular visa application, you should contact the Consular Office where the application was filed.
