The various high-level meetings and consultations carried out since the suspension of the Doha Round negotiations last July have not made it possible to bridge the differences between the positions of developed and developing countries. The current political landscape in the main developed countries does not favour the adoption of decisions that could solve these differences. Consequently, it can be thought of a scenario of prolonged negotiations, as happened in the Uruguay Round.
