The Argentine Foreign Ministry recognizes 9 languages of interest for the performance of diplomatic-consular tasks: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Russian.
Both ISEN students and diplomatic officers must study and certify their knowledge in several of these languages to advance in their careers.
Consequently, ISEN offers four-month courses in all these languages, in line with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
Currently, 45 courses are taught and taken by more than 400 people, including applicants and officials.
The registration and teaching calendar of the language courses offered by ISEN in 2023 is as follows:
- Registration for courses of the first-semester: 06/03-17/03
- Interviews: 03/20-03/23
- First semester: 03/27-07/14
- Grades: 07/21
- Registration for second-semester courses: 07/24-04/08
- Interviews: 07/08-11/08
- Second-semester: 14/08-01/12
- Grades: 07/12
