In her opening remarks, Foreign Minister Diana Mondino highlighted that the incorporation of Argentine technological packages in strategic sectors will provide concrete solutions to African countries and will increase Argentina's value-added exports.

Africa is a continent of great dynamism, with an economic growth rate that exceeds the world average and many other emerging economies. Over the next five years, the continent's GDP is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 7.4% and reach US$4.1 trillion. By 2050, it is estimated that a quarter of the world's population will reside in Africa, with 60% of Africans residing in urban areas. It is also projected that 10 of the 30 most populous countries in the world are on that continent.
Currently, 6% of Argentina's total exports are destined for the African continent and, out of that percentage, 67% corresponds to food and primary agricultural products.
