Foreign Minister Diana Mondino and the President of the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI), Francisco de Santibañes, signed the Framework Agreement for the Professional Internship Program for officials of Argentina’s Foreign Service in companies based in our country with the aim of generating positive synergies between the public-private sector.
In accordance with the Framework Agreement signed, the companies will respectively incorporate an official of Argentina’s Foreign Service for a period of three months and provides that new companies may join the program in the future.
Representatives of the thirteen companies that participate so far in this program were present: Grupo Arcor, Aeropuertos Argentina, Georgalos, Globant, Grupo Bagó, Grupo Peñaflor, Vrio, San Miguel Foods, PRÜNE, INVAP, Argentina Chamber of Steel, Telecom Argentina and Pan American Energy.
This initiative will contribute to generating greater links and knowledge among the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the network of Consulates and Embassies, participating companies and SME suppliers. All this with the aim of acquiring knowledge about everyday situations of business activity related to public/private coordination; interacting with the Argentine business ecosystem regarding its export and investment attraction activities; incorporating tools for a greater impact in implementing trade promotion policies for goods and services produced nationally in foreign markets; promoting foreign investment in our country and accompanying the internationalization of Argentine companies.
The companies participating in the Agreement represent a wide range of sectors such as energy and oil, telecommunications, agriculture and food, transport services, turnkey engineering, winemaking, pharmaceutics, metallurgy, services based on knowledge and design of clothing and saddlery.
The Secretary for International Economic Relations, Marcelo Cima, participated in the event; as well as the Secretary of Coordination and Foreign Planning, Ernesto Gaspari; the Undersecretary of Promotion of Exports, Investments, Science, Education and Culture, Ramiro Velloso; the Undersecretary of International Economic Negotiations and Integration, Gabriel Martínez; the General Director of Human Resources, Claudio Gutiérrez; and the Director of the the National Foreign Service Institute (ISEN), Carlos Sersale Di Cerisano.
