The Argentine Republic informs that the country has filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) over the arbitrary detention and forced disappearance of Argentine citizen Nahuel Gallo, which took place on 8 December 2024 in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, specifically mentioning Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek William Saab in the context of the case.

This event constitutes a serious and flagrant violation of human rights, evidencing a systematic pattern of crimes against humanity being committed in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which are clearly within the jurisdiction of the ICC.

The Argentine Government will continue to use all legal and diplomatic resources to guarantee the rights of citizen Nahuel Gallo, protect human rights and demand international justice.
