Argentina again to export soy bean oil to China

Tuesday, 28 August 2018
Information for the Press N°:
346/18

Argentina will again export soy bean oil to the People's Republic of China, after three years, thus recovering access to a growing market that will enable us to increase our value-added exports.

Today, a first cargo of 29,000 tonnes of soy bean oil is to be shipped off the port of Timbúes, near the city of Rosario. This shipment will be followed by two more, which will leave from the ports of San Benito and General San Martín, both located in the area of Rosario.

Total exports in this first stage will hover around 90,000 tonnes, and a fourth shipment may be added soon.

The efforts carried out jointly by the Ministry of Agro-industry and the Argentine Foreign Ministry enable us to recover access to an attractive market for Argentine exports, soy bean oil having traditionally been Argentina's second major export to China.
