Argentina and Russia strengthen bonds of cooperation in peaceful uses of outer space

Today, engineer Raúl Kulichevsky, Executive and Technical Director of the National Commission for Space Activities, and Mikhail Khailov, Deputy Director General of the State Corporation ROSCOSMOS, signed the "Protocol between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Argentine Republic on Cooperation in the Field of Space Exploration and the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space" at the Palacio San Martín.

This Protocol will allow Argentina to expand cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space with one of the world leaders in this field.  In particular, the document provides for cooperation in areas such as satellite navigation, manned space missions and the technology for satellite launchers, and it will facilitate access to state-of-the-art systems and technology for the Argentine space industry.
