Today, the Meeting of the Bolivia – Argentina Technical Working Group on health was held with the participation of authorities from the respective Foreign Ministries, Ministries of Health and with the presence of the Government of the Province of Jujuy.
The parties agreed, within the framework of the Law on universal health recently passed in Bolivia, that Argentines who are in Bolivia, regardless of their migration status, will be treated universally and free of charge under the principle of reciprocity in healthcare, subject to the same conditions as Bolivians.
Technical delegations are still working on the conclusion of the Cooperation Agreement on Healthcare. The issues yet to be agreed on will be treated in a video conference to be held in March, when the agreement is expected to be finalized.
