The Argentine Republic once again condemns, in the strongest terms, the recent launch by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea of an intercontinental ballistic missile that landed in the sea.
This is a new act of hostility and provocation against the international community that overtly violates international obligations arising from United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1718 (2006), 1874 (2009), 2087 (2013), 2094 (2013), 2270 (2016), 2321 (2016), 2356 (2017), 2371 (2017), 2375 (2017) and 2397 (2017), which address the North Korean missile and nuclear programmes.
Argentina once again urges the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to promptly comply with these Resolutions, ending these systematic hostile acts in the region that constitute a new threat to international peace and security.
