Foreign Minister Diana Mondino received her counterpart from the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavsky, at the San Martín Palace, within the framework of the centennial of Argentine-Czech bilateral relations.
During the meeting, both foreign ministers highlighted the shared vision of democratic and republican values as well as the potential to increase commercial exchange, investments, and scientific-technological and academic cooperation. Likewise, they agreed on the importance of strengthening parliamentary relations, as an additional element of engagement of great interest.
At the regional and multilateral level, perspectives on Argentina's entry into the OECD and the progress of the negotiation of the MERCOSUR and the European Union agreement were discussed, as well as the concern about international conflicts and the shared commitment to their resolution through peaceful means and respect for international law.
Commercial exchange of goods and services between both countries amounts to almost 250 million dollars and there are opportunities for Argentina in high value-added sectors such as auto parts, agricultural machinery, services based on knowledge and creative and cultural industries, among others.
