On June 18 and 19, the third edition of the World Agri-Tech South America Summit was held in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. This is one of the most important events for the agrotechnology sector in South America, bringing together 700 representatives of cooperatives, multinationals, food companies, startups, investors and governments from across the region.
During the event, a conference was held with around 20 panels, most of which highlighted the presence of Argentine entities such as AAPRESID, GRIDX, UCROP.IT, ADECOAGRO, UNIBAIO, VEXXEL, among others. On the other hand, 10 Argentine companies participated in the Summit with their own stand and, according to information provided by the organizers, around 70 businessmen from our country were part of the event to connect with potential partners, clients and investors.
On June 17, the Consulate General and Promotion Center of the Argentine Republic in San Pablo had organized a networking event focused on our country. The purpose of the meeting, that brought together around 80 executives, was to highlight the importance of the sector for the technological development of agriculture throughout the region and connect Argentine companies/startups with the local ecosystem.
Furthermore, the Argentine delegation participated in an event organized by Cubo Itaú in the Vila Olimpia neighborhood. Cubo is the largest startup community in Brazil concentrating approximately 30% of the country's startup turnover. A total of 25 Argentine startups currently part of Cubo operate from that community to strengthen their internationalization process in this market.
