The Argentine Republic rejects the arrest orders issued by the General Prosecutor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela against the President of the Argentine Republic, Mr. Javier Milei; the General Secretary to the President’s Office, Ms. Karina Milei, and Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich, following the incident involving an Emtrasur plane.
The aforementioned case has been adjudicated by the Judiciary, an independent power on which the Executive Branch cannot and should not have any influence, in keeping with an international agreement.
The Argentine Government reminds the Venezuelan regime that the Argentine Republic upholds the separation of powers and the independence of judges, which unfortunately is not the case in Venezuela under Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
