The Foreign Ministry, the Argentine Investment and International Trade Agency (AAICI) and the Argentine Video Games Association (AADV) accompanied more than 50 Argentine businessmen, start-ups and entrepreneurs at the 2024 edition of Gamescom LATAM, held in San Pablo, Brazil.

Gamescom LATAM is the largest gaming event in the region. It was born from the combination between Gamescom, the largest gaming event in the world, and BIG Festival, the most important gaming festival in Latin America. This edition brought together the entire gaming industry with world leaders in the sector such as Nintendo, SEGA, Warner Bros. Games, Ubisoft, Roblox and Claro.

Argentina stood out with an institutional stand in the B2B area, whose objective was to promote the exportable offer of Argentine IPs and video games, in addition to exploring business and investment opportunities in the Brazilian and international market.

Globant, a digital native company born in Argentina, also participated with its own institutional stand, where it presented its solutions to the world. This company, considered a unicorn, has more than 15 years of collaboration with AAA studios and has worked on more than 99 projects in 3D, VR and AR videogames, including the world-renowned FIFA among them.

In addition, two Argentine games were finalists among more than 100 competitors in the categories of “Best Latin American Gam”e and “Best Youth Game”. Also, the official presentation of the 22nd edition of the Argentine Video Game Exhibition (EVA) 2024 was held, which will take place in October in Buenos Aires, and the Argentine Pitching session was conducted, moderated by Florencia Fole, president of the AADV.

Our country is the main software exporter in LATAM and the third in the world. With more than 130 video game studios, 85% of which are focused on business model export services, the country continues to promote this industry in continuous evolution and growth.
