Foreign Minister Diana Mondino and the Corporate Vice President of Strategic Programming of CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, Christian Asinelli held a meeting on 11 March and spoke about the progress of the program of reforms carried out by the Argentine Government and the great expectations that it has generated in the countries of the region.
Asinelli highlighted the support of the CAF and its member countries in these processes and the institution's willingness to cooperate with the work of the Foreign Ministry and its network of diplomatic representations abroad. In this regard, the Minister and Asinelli exchanged views on the possibilities of cooperation to support actions oriented to expand the supply of Argentine products, open markets, attract investments and promote trade abroad. They also talked about the CAF’s key role in physical integration projects with neighboring countries and regional integration.
CAF is made up of 21 countries and 13 Latin American private banks and has 13 offices to handle the projects developed in the region. CAF has become an important strategic partner for Latin America and the Caribbean by contributing to the sustainable development of its shareholder countries.
Argentina has been a member of the CAF since 2010.
