The Argentine Government congratulates the Salvadorean people and Government on the elections held on Sunday 3 February.
Argentina welcomes the elections, which are a victory for democracy and testimony to the will of the Salvadorean people to advance and continue on the path of development and prosperity under the leadership of the new president, Nayib Bukele.
The Argentine Government reaffirms its readiness to strengthen the bilateral relationship with El Salvador and its commitment to build a Latin America which is stable, democratic and respectful of human and political rights, all of which are values shared by our peoples and Governments.
