Exports Day: Foreign Minister invites private sector to work with Argentine Embassies

Secretary Reyser called for the promotion of joint work between the public and private sectors to boost Argentine product and service exports to the world, making the over 150 Argentine representations abroad available to exporters.

The Secretary for International Economic Relations of the Foreign Ministry, Horacio Reyser, participated today in the Exports Day on behalf of Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie, who travelled to Paraguay to attend the presidential inauguration ceremony.

The Ministers of Agro-Industry and Production, Luis Miguel Etchevere and Dante Sica, as well as the President of the Argentine Chamber of Exporters, Enrique Mantilla, also took part in the panel of speakers.

Reyser called for the promotion of joint work between the public and private sector to boost Argentine product and service exports to the world. He also made the over 150 Argentine representations abroad available to exporters with a view to opening up new markets and highlighted their role as an essential tool to achieve Argentina´s smart insertion into the world: "One of our strengths is Argentina's network of trade representations and embassies abroad, and we need to make the most of it," he said.

In addition, Reyser stressed the importance of joint work between different government bodies in order to achieve goals which have a concrete impact on exporting companies. By way of example, he mentioned the case of the Chinese market opening in relation to cooled bone-in and boneless bovine meat and frozen bone-in bovine meat.

Furthermore, he underscored the vital role that international trade negotiations play in achieving the opening up of new product and service markets, clear rules to promote investments and greater participation by Argentine companies in global value chains.

Argentina is currently engaged in simultaneous negotiations with different blocs and countries, which account for 37,8% of the world's GDP, with a view to reaching preferential trade agreements
