A Food and Beverage Trade Mission to Mexico took place on November 20-21, 2024. The activity was organized by the Undersecretariat for Export Promotion, Investment, Education, Science and Culture of Argentina's Foreign Ministry, together with the Argentine Embassy in Mexico.

The business delegation was made up of 12 companies from San Juan, Mendoza, Province of Buenos Aires and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, which presented their exportable offer in alcoholic beverages (wines, gin, beer, gin), dairy products, beef and healthy food.

The Argentine businessmen also held meetings with Mexico's main commercial players (importers, distributors, supermarket chain buyers and traders), including representatives of Walmart, Sigma, Soriana, Rappi and Sanborns, among others.

Meetings were also held with buyers from Mexico's Central de Abastos and a visit was made to a Walmart chain store, during which the company gave a comprehensive presentation of its operating model and management practices in Mexico.

During the two days of activities, the Argentine businessmen held more than 160 meetings with more than 30 Mexican buyers and distributors. As a result of this mission, the companies expect to finalize business contracts for the coming months, medium-term sales commitments and new business opportunities in Mexico.

It should be recalled that Mexico is the second largest economy in Latin America and that bilateral trade between that country and Argentina currently exceeds 2 billion dollars.
