Foreign Minister Mondino held a meeting with the Ambassador of Portugal, José Viola de Drummond Ludovice, where they discussed ways to deepen the ever-friendly bilateral relationship, the 200th anniversary of which was celebrated in 2021.
The topics addressed included the willingness of both countries to move forward with the closing of the MERCOSUR – EUROPEAN UNION Agreement, their interest in increasing and diversifying bilateral trade, the assessment of the cooperation projects underway, and the potential in the field of renewable energy.
The Portuguese Ambassador highlighted Lisbon’s participation as a guest of honour at the upcoming edition of the Buenos Aires Book Fair and stated that the Mayor of Lisbon and 35 Portuguese writers will visit Argentina.
