In the context of her trip to the city of Córdoba to participate in the 5th Plenary Session of the Federal Council on Foreign Relations and International Trade (https://cancilleria.gob.ar/es/actualidad/noticias/la-canciller-mondino-preside-en-cordoba-la-reunion-del-consejo-federal-de), Foreign Minister Mondino visited Fábrica Argentina de Aviones Brigadier San Martín SA (FAdeA), where she held a working meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Fernando Sibilla, as well as other company executives.

During the meeting, they went over the company’s main projects and potential areas for cooperation, including the maintenance services for commercial and military aircrafts provided by the company, in line with its international certifications.

At the beginning of the tour, Sibilla told the Foreign Minister about FAdeA’s work plan for the 2024-2027 period. For her part, the Foreign Minister highlighted FAdeA’s history as a leading company in the strategic development of the aerospace industry in the Province of Córdoba, as well as the great potential unlocked by the international certifications.

In addition, given the company’s status as an Authorized Service Centre for maintenance of the medium-heavy transport aircraft Lockheed C-130 Hércules, Sibilla listed the progress made by the company in the modernization of aircrafts of the Argentine Air Force (FAA). Furthermore, Sibilla presented the manufacturing process of IA-100 Malvina, a state-of-the-art trainer aircraft for basic and primary training of military and commercial pilots, as well as the production line for IA-63 Pampa III Block II, a modern light-attack trainer jet for basic and advanced training.

Thanks to its international certifications, the Córdoba-based company provides services and parts to multiple foreign companies, including the Brazilian Embraer, to which it sells subsystems for the medium transport aircraft Embraer KC390, in accordance with strict design standards. All of this provides added value and export capacity to Argentine production.

Founded in 1927 as Fábrica Militar de Aviones (FMA), the now-called FAdeA offers trainer aircrafts IA-63 Pampa III Block II and IA-100 Malvina to the market and provides maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of Airbus 320 commercial aircrafts, military IA-63 Pampa, Lockheed C-130 Hércules and Lockheed P-3 Orión, as well as helicopters Bell AB-206, among others.
