On direct instructions from the presidents of both countries, the foreign ministries of Colombia and Argentina have engaged in discussions to enhance diplomatic relations, in line with the longstanding bonds of fraternity and civility, and the relationship between both peoples across political, commercial, cultural, and institutional fields.

In this regard, both governments have taken concrete steps to settle any differences and strengthen this relationship.

The Colombian government has instructed Ambassador Camilo Romero to return to Buenos Aires while granting approval for the new Ambassador proposed by the Argentine government in Bogotá.

The Argentine government, for its part, has announced the visit of Foreign Minister Diana Mondino to Colombia.

The Colombian and Argentine diasporas residing in both countries, including students, workers, businesspeople, and families, have built this relationship and serve as its main support. Both governments will continue working for the wellbeing of these peoples.

A few days before the 201st anniversary of diplomatic relations, the Argentine Republic and the Republic of Colombia reaffirm the significance of maintaining good relations and express their commitment to strengthening the bonds between both countries.
