Foreign Minister Diana Mondino met with representatives of the Armenian community including the Archimandrite of the Armenian Church in Argentina and Chile, Arén Shaheenian; the President and Vicepresident of the Armenian Centre of the Argentine Republic, Leonardo Aram Kareguezian and Carlos Manuel Manoukian; and Gustavo Leandro Nigohosian, Executive Director of Governance School.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Mondino highlighted the Armenian community's contribution to Argentina’s development and referred to her recent meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
The representatives of the Armenian community explained the social role played by their churches and schools in our country, as well as their work in welcoming and integrating Armenian migrants.
The Armenian community has been present in our country for more than 100 years.
