Foreign Minister Diana Mondino received today, at the San Martín Palace, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko, who is visiting our country together with a large government delegation.
The exchange between both officials focused on the development of the conflict and its impact on the Ukrainian economy.
Minister Mondino highlighted Argentina's commitment to the defense of international law, the United Nations multilateral system and democratic values. Svyrydenko conveyed her gratitude for our country’s support in multilateral forums and referred to the importance of continuing to work to strengthen the bilateral agenda.
Svyrydenko also noted that, despite the war effort, the Ukrainian economy is expected to consolidate its growth path in 2024. In that regard, the head of the Ukrainian economy portfolio expressed her country's interest in expanding commercial exchange with Argentina in sectors such as energy, agribusiness and health, among others.
The Ukrainian delegation will stay in Argentina until tomorrow and hold meetings with other senior government officials as part of its intense work agenda.
