On 11-15 March, a new round of negotiations between Mercosur and the European Union was held in the city of Buenos Aires. During the meeting, constructive discussions took place and progress was made between the Chief Negotiators and the groups present, evidencing the parties' commitment to reach an agreement.
In addition, during the meeting, the Chief Negotiators of Mercosur and the European Union met with private sector representatives from both blocs, civil society representatives and Argentine legislators.
The parties will meet again during May to seek consensus on issues that are still pending.
