Wrapping up her agenda in France, and before flying back to Argentina, Foreign Minister Diana Mondino met on Thursday morning in Paris with Pierre de Lapeyriere, cofounder and president of the French-American Group Ensorcia Europe.

He confirmed his willingness to invest over USD 450 million in Argentina in order to produce quality lithium for batteries as from 2025. The Ensorcia group plans to reach a volume of 25 annual tonnes of lithium carbonate in 2026 through use of its differential rupture technology.

Among several political and economic meetings, Mondino had also met with authorities of Eramet, a lithium giant present in Argentina, who considered the measures of the new government a positive sign as regards investment opportunities, welcoming the decisions on imports and announcing their decision to invest another USD 800 million in lithium development in Salta.

In addition, Mondino's agenda in Paris included a working meeting with Dominique Senequier, president of Ardian Group, France's largest investment fund. During the meeting, Group investors expressed their interest in Argentina and in specific sectors, like infrastructure and energy.  Mondino also met with Laurent Dassault, CEO and owner of Dassault and one of France's major business leaders.
