Foreign Minister Diana Mondino held a meeting today with Dr. Benedikt Franke, Vice-Chair and CEO of the Munich Security Conference (MSC), one of the world's leading forums for discussing international security policy and diplomatic initiatives aimed at addressing the world's security concerns.
During the meeting, Mondino and Franke reviewed the main activities and meetings held by the MSC and Argentina's participation in them.
The Foreign Minister stressed the importance that Argentina attaches to this forum as a platform to discuss current foreign policy, security and defense issues and conveyed her gratitude for inviting her to participate in future MSC events. Dr. Franke, for his part, stressed the importance of Argentina's active participation in relevant forums on the international scene.
Dr. Franke is in Argentina to attend the XVI Conference of Defense Ministers of the Americas (XVI CMDA), to be held in the city of Mendoza from October 14 to 16, 2024, in which the MSC will participate with a parallel event. Dr. Franke highlighted that this will be the first participation of the MSC in Latin America.
