Health authorities of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Argentine Animal Health and Agri-food Quality Service (SENASA in the Spanish acronym) have agreed on an International Health Certificate (IHV) for Argentine exports of bovine embryos to the EAEU. The market will begin to operate in early 2024.
This achievement is the result of the coordinated work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fishery, and SENASA. This follows the opening of the same market for bovine semen in 2022.
The Eurasian Economic Union represents a market of 183 million people, and its trade with Argentina totals an estimated USD 880 million, with a surplus of USD 256 million. The main exported goods are fruit and citrus fruit, meat, dairy products and nuts.
