A delegation of 24 Argentine video game companies participated in the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2024 held between 17 and 21 March at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, United States.
The 2024 edition of the GDC attracted over 28,000 attendees from around the world, including industry-leading companies such as Epic Games Inc., Microsoft Corporation and Google LLC. In addition to serving as a meeting point for international developers, publishers and programmers, the conference is renowned for its focus on key areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and live services applied to the mobile sector. Specifically, GDC 2024 focused on the field of AI, a technology that will have a significant impact on areas such as creativity, productivity, and the future job market.
In this context, the Argentine delegation, coordinated by the Foreign Ministry, had the opportunity to hold strategic meetings with leading global counterparts such as the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) and Screen Australia, among others.
The Argentine delegation included companies based in several provinces such as Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Córdoba, Santa Fe, and the City of Buenos Aires. The companies that were part of this delegation included, among others, 3OGS, Ostrich Studios, Ark One Studios, Big in Latam, Collider, Craftworks, Dedalord, Epic Llama, Error 404 Game Studios, Game Ever, Image, Campus Cube, MKTR Agency, Nimble Giant Entertainment, Red Wolves Studios, Scubalight Studios, Sismo Games, Terra Localizations, Tlön Industries, Widow Games, Pilgrims Game Studio, Ravegan, Bantam, Mooco, Riz and Xowen Studio.
The GDC 2024 is a key event to create new business opportunities and further the internationalization of the video game industry, which is renowned for its innovative potential and high added value.
