Today, Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Raimondi received the Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergiy Kyslytsya, with whom he held a Political Consultations Meeting between Argentina and Ukraine.
Both Deputy Foreign Ministers reviewed the state of bilateral relations, consular affairs, parliamentary diplomacy, agreements currently under negotiations and the recent signature of three cooperation agreements on judicial matters.
They also exchanged views on the main regional and multilateral issues of shared interest, including human rights and gender issues.
As regards bilateral trade, it was agreed to hold a new Meeting of the Argentina-Ukraine Intergovernmental Joint Committee for Economic and Trade Cooperation in Buenos Aires in 2019, with a view to considering new measures to foster trade and investments.
The officials discussed the status of cultural and educational agreements in force, welcomed the translation of Argentine books by Ukrainian publishers within the framework of the Sur Translation Support Programme, as well as the progress made in relation to the certification of higher education diplomas , and activities undertaken by communities in both countries to disseminate their cultural expressions.
Deputy Foreign Minister Raimondi thanked Ambassador Kyslytsya for his visit. Ambassador Kyslytsya in turn invited him to continue the fruitful dialogue in Kiev next year.
