Press release on the Joint Statement of the Leaders of the United States, Egypt and Qatar on the conflict in Gaza

The Argentine Republic welcomes the Joint Statement of the Leaders of the United States, Egypt and Qatar on the conflict in Gaza issued yesterday.

In this regard, Argentina appreciates and values the efforts of these three countries to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and put an end to the suffering of all those affected, including the hostages who remain captive by Hamas and their families.

Argentina encourages all those involved to reach the necessary compromises to achieve an agreement in line with the principles outlined by President Biden on May 31, 2024, and endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2735.
