After the actions undertaken by the Argentine Foreign Ministry and the Undersecretariat for Ports and Waterways of the Ministry of Production, the Argentine Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie signed a number of Agreements with the Foreign Ministers of Bolivia and Paraguay.
The Agreement with Bolivia provides for the return of the current free trade zone establishment located in a central area of Rosario, near the National Flag Monument. It also guarantees Bolivia relocation to an area soon to be determined and consistent with the needs of waterway transport, which will be negotiated between the Argentine Government, the Province of Santa Fe and Bolivia.
The Agreement signed with Paraguay also provides for the return of the current free trade zone establishment and is part of a number of bilateral commitments that the Argentine Foreign Minister has been fostering to enhance logistic and productive integration with the country through concrete results.
Thus, a long-standing wish of the municipality of Rosario and the province of Santa Fe is fulfilled, by recovering historical areas which are part of the monumental urban area and the port area of Santa Fe, fully incorporating the Plurinational State of Bolivia and the Republic of Paraguay into the logistic and productive system of Argentina's Paraguay-Paraná Waterway.
