Foreign Minister Mondino joined President Javier Milei at the High-level Summit for Peace for Ukraine, which took place from 15 to 16 June in Switzerland and was convened by Ukrainian president Volodimir Zelensky. This global event was attended by world leaders and high-level authorities from over 100 countries, as well as numerous international organizations.
In this context, Foreign Minister Mondino participated this past Sunday in a debate on nuclear safety. Given Argentina’s vast experience in the peaceful use of nuclear energy, Mondino expressed her concern over the situation in Ukraine and reaffirmed Argentina's support for the work done by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). She offered technical support from Argentine experts as well.
The presidents of Finland, Alexander Stubb, Poland, Andrzej Duda, and Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda; the prime ministers of Belgium, Alexander De Croo, and Sweden, Ulf Hjalmar Ed Kristersson; the foreign ministers of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard, and Ukraine, Dmytró Ivánovich Kuleba; and the OAS Secretary General, Luis Almagro, also participated in the Working Group on Nuclear Safety in Ukraine.
