Foreign Minister Felipe Solá joined President Alberto Fernández in his meeting with the Acting Assistant Secretary for U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, Michael Kozak, where they agreed to create a permanent consultation system to coordinate activities between the two countries.
The State Department official expressed his support for the negotiation with the IMF and invited the Argentine government to an event on oil to be held on 17 December in Washington. President Alberto Fernández promised Argentina would be present.
Also in attendance were the Argentine Secretary for Strategic Affairs, Gustavo Béliz, and Jorge Argüello. The U.S. delegation consisted of the U.S. Ambassador to Argentina, Edward Prado; political advisor Chris Andino; and advisor Mariju Bofill, who were also present at the meeting.
