Ojo Raro

Ojo Raro is an open platform and a space for reflection on the animated image and its cultural implications. We produce animation with challenging and disruptive contents, with a cuir and sudaka look. It includes short films, series and feature films created and directed by authors from the economic south, especially feminist, gender dissidents and other neglected minorities. Ojo Raro is interested in hybrid fiction and multiple genres, from fantasy and science fiction to folk horror and erotica. It focuses on the monstrous, the anomalous and the silenced, deviating from pre-established narrative models to tell the stories they seek to tell.
