In accordance with Ministerial Resolution n° 1567, dated 31 of July of 2006, the Argentine National Contact Point (ANCP) was established in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship. Then, the Ministerial Resolution n° 17, dated 25 of January of 2013, repealed the Resolution 1567 and established that the role of the National Contact Point is “to further the effectiveness of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and to contribute to the resolution of issues relating to their implementation.”

On March, 7, 2019, Resolution 138/2019 was adopetd, formalizing the constitution of the Advisory Council of the ANCP.  The ANCP operates within the National Directorate of Multilateral Economic Relations (DNEMU).

The ANCP carries out promotional activities, answer queries, and contribute to the resolution of issues that arise relating to implementation of the Guidelines in specific instances in a manner that is impartial, predictable, equitable and compatible with the principles and standards of the OECD Guidelines.
