Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie headed the reopening ceremony of the Argentine Embassy in Singapore, instructed by President Mauricio Macri last 17 February, through Executive Order No. 116/2017. The ceremony was attended by the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Singapore, Vivian Balakrishnan, the Argentine Ambassador, Federico Barttfeld, local authorities, the diplomatic corps, business and mutual fund representatives, and Argentine nationals residing in the Asian country.
