This afternoon, at the Intercontinental Hotel in the city of Mendoza, Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie received his counterpart from the Republic of Chile, Heraldo Muñoz, within the framework of the Mercosur Summit.
The Foreign Ministers discussed the way to promptly find a joint solution to the issue of the mine in the Province of San Juan. They also agreed to convene the binational Committees on integration and mobility of people, with the aim of improving the operation of border crossings.
This afternoon, Muñoz and his delegation participated in the session of the Common Market Council of Mercosur Member States and Associate States, chaired by Foreign Minister Faurie.
Tomorrow at 10 a.m., the Presidents of Mercosur, both of Member States and Associate States plus Mexico and special Guests, will participate in a plenary session chaired by President Mauricio Macri at the Intercontinental Hotel, which will be the highlight of this regional 2017 Summit.
