Today, the Argentine Foreign Ministry made its fourth delivery of World War II Series documents to the Holocaust Museum in Washington.

In an event headed by the Secretary for International Coordination and Cooperation, Ernesto Gaspari, a total of 38,779 documents organized into 437 folders, stored in 34 boxes (No. 44AH0095 to No. 44AH00129) and kept in the National Archives were delivered to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM). The digital copies of the documents delivered are mainly letters, telegrams, newspaper articles, notes and reports.

The documents address the situation and position of the different States as regards World War II. Among the issues contained therein stand out the importance placed by the Argentine Republic on the interests of the countries involved in the war, as well as general information sent by the Argentine Embassy in Germany. The documents also record the third Foreign Ministers' meeting in 1944, as well as the neutrality and war declarations of different States and blacklists, among other issues.

The body of documents was produced by the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship between 1939 and 1950. Most documents are public records, but those filed as 'classified' have been declassified by Executive Order No. 232/1992, which orders that "all documents regarding Nazi war criminals which were classified in 'the national interest' be declassified."
