Argentina promotes value-added food products in the United States

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, with the Ministry of Agroindustry and the Argentine Agency of Investment and International Trade (AAICI), will coordinate Argentina's participation in the Summer Fancy Food Show 2017, the largest value-added food fair in the United States, to be held on 25-27 June in the city of New York.

In addition to the presence of SMEs and Argentine institutions at the traditional National Pavilion, 24 companies will offer tastings of Argentine products on a Food Truck which will travel the streets of Manhattan under the slogan "Taste Argentina" during the fair.

The Food Truck will stop at three of the city's landmark sites:

Sunday 25: World Trade Center - Northeast corner of Vesey Street & Church Street.

Monday 26: Park Avenue, between 47th and 48th Streets (Midtown East)

Tuesday 27: 40th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues.

The Food Truck's offer will include top Argentine gastronomic exportable goods, such as the traditional dulce de leche, olive oil, yerba mate, sweets, beverages and fruit, among others. There will also be a chef whose dishes will cater for the tastes of local consumers. Social media users will be able to follow the Food Truck's route and join the event, using the hashtag #TasteArgentina.

The Fancy Food Show is the biggest gourmet food show in the United States. Its previous edition was attended by 2,500 exhibiting companies and 26,000 buyers of delicatessen and special foods from 90 countries.
