Today, the Secretary for International Economic Relations, Horacio Reyser, met at the Foreign Ministry with the Russian representative of the Russia-Argentina Intergovernmental Commission and Head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, Sergey Dankvert.

Reyser underscored that "this is the best scenario to move forward with the strategic comprehensive partnership with Russia. President Mauricio Macri's administration is very practical and dynamic, and the Ministries are coordinated and working towards Argentina's insertion into the world.

For his part, Dankvert held during the meeting that "there is great interest in Argentine products that have lost their share in the Russian market. Trade levels are below the great potential of the two economies." He also highlighted that: "We want to work so that Argentina can recover its leading role in providing Russia with food products.

In view of the advances made during today’s meeting at the Palacio San Martín, the two delegations agreed to hold the 13th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission in Moscow in February.
