In order to assist Mexico in the wake of the recent earthquakes, tomorrow, the White Helmets Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship will send a shipment of humanitarian supplies with one of its logistics experts.
Based on the requirements of the Mexican government, Argentina will send water purification tablets to purify up to 6 million litres of water, which will help provide 34,000 people with water for a period of 60 days, 1500 blankets, 312 cooking kits, and 300 cleaning kits.
With the cooperation of the Argentine National Border Police, the shipment of around 4,200 kilos of humanitarian supplies will be transported to Ezeiza airport.
In cases of emergencies and disasters, Argentina, through the White Helmets Commission, offers humanitarian aid to the affected country. When cooperation is accepted, expert volunteers and/or humanitarian supplies are sent. In addition to contributing to provide assistance to the people affected, when required, local resources are trained in areas such as assessing damage to infrastructure, managing humanitarian supplies and strengthening local volunteering.
