Within the framework of the activities carried out by the Argentine Foreign Ministry to promote the internationalization of SMBs —the main generators of quality jobs—, 30 Argentine entrepreneurs will participate this week at The South Summit, the most important startup event of Ibero-America, which is being held in Madrid this year.
Apart from the presentations taking place at The South Summit, the event is particularly important because participants have an opportunity to share their business plans with the most important Spanish and European investment funds, as well as to network with other Latin American and European entrepreneurs.
It is worth highlighting that, out of more than 4,500 applicants from all over the world, three Argentine startups were included among the 100 finalists in the “Start Up Competition” section: BRANDTRACK, an online music platform for large-format stores and retailers; HIBOX, which combines messages, tasks and videoconferences in a single platform; and CROWDIUM, a crowdfunding platform aimed at funding investment projects in the real estate field.
The participation of Argentina was organized by the Undersecretariat for Trade Promotion and Investment Development of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, the Argentine Embassy to Spain, the Undersecretariat for Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Production, and the Association of Argentine Entrepreneurs (ASEA).
Apart from participating in the Summit, the Argentine delegation of entrepreneurs visited important locations in the startup field, such as Google Camp Madrid, BBVA Innovation Center, Wayra España and Open Future, among others. The visits were organized by the Argentine Embassy.
