In the context of the "Dialogue Initiative" proposal, Argentine Foreign Ministry officials welcomed students enrolled in the exchange programme between the School of Law and Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires and the School of Law of Universidade do Vale do Taquari (Brazil).
The event, held in the Auditorium of the National Foreign Service Institute, was headed by Ambassador Tomás Kroyer and was attended by the Director for Intermediate Organizations and officials from the Secretariat for Foreign Affairs, the Undersecretariat for Economic Integration with the Americas and MERCOSUR, the Directorate for Bilateral Cooperation and the Directorate for South America.
The officials addressed the main guidelines of Argentine foreign policy, especially as regards the bilateral relationship with Brazil and MERCOSUR and the work being carried out by National Foreign Service officials not only in consulates but also at the Argentine Embassy in Brazil, highlighting the historical bonds of fraternity between the two countries.
At the end of the event, the students went on a guided tour of the Palacio San Martín.
The Undersecretariat for Institutional Relations, headed by Ambassador Tomás Kroyer, fosters through the Directorate for Intermediate Organizations a "Dialogue Initiative" with civil society actors, in order to raise awareness, educate and build consensus on the work being carried out by the Foreign Ministry.
