The Argentine Republic welcomes the bilateral ceasefire between the Colombian Government and the National Liberation Army (ELN), which was announced on Monday 4 by President Juan Manuel Santos.
The Agreement, which was announced in the run-up to Pope Francis's Visit to Colombia, offers new prospects for moving forward with reconciliation among Colombians.
In addition, Argentina is confident that the announcement of the bilateral ceasefire will provide an opportunity to advance the negotiations to put an end to the conflict.
