Within the framework of Argentina’s renewed participation in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), a delegation of high officials of such organization, headed by the Director for Global Relations, Marcos Bonturi, will visit Argentina between 27 and 29 June.
The purpose of the mission is to exchange experiences and move forward with cooperation in multiple areas. In early June, Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra met in Paris with Secretary-General Ángel Gurría and reaffirmed Argentina’s intention to strengthen its commitment to the Organization.
The OECD delegation will hold working meetings with the Chief of Cabinet, Marcos Peña; the Minister of Finance, Alfonso Prat Gay; and the Minister of Education, Esteban Bullrich, among other high-ranking officials. The delegation will also be received, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, by the Secretary for International Economic Relations, Ambassador María Cristina Boldorini, at the Palacio San Martín.
The Argentine Republic is already participating in various Committees and Working Groups and is a member of the OECD Development Centre. This new meeting is a significant step towards the achievement of the Argentine government’s goal of building a broader and more dynamic relationship with this international organization.
