The Foreign Minister highlighted the considerable importance attributed by Argentina to the issue of employment in the context of the G20, which is actively advocated by our country in this Forum. In addition, in the light of Argentina's G20 Presidency in 2018, Faurie stated that our country will consider employment as one of the main agenda items of the Forum; therefore, it will be very important to engage the support and collaboration of the ILO.

Both officials also addressed the IV Global Conference on the Sustained Eradication of Child Labour, to be held in Buenos Aires on 14-16 November. The conference is expected to be attended by 1,500 delegates from around the world, in order to discuss issues such as the elimination of Forced Labour and to assess active social and economic inclusion policies, in connection with the creation of quality Youth Employment.

Argentina believes that there is a close relationship between education and major labour market changes arising from technological progress and the automation of productive processes.
