Today, Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie met in New York with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Andorra, María Ubach Font, in the context of the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly.
Both officials agreed to strengthen bilateral relations - which were established in 1995- in all areas and at all levels. Andorra is a member of the Ibero-American General Secretariat and its participation in the Secretariat's Summits shows Andorra's growing interest in strengthening its bonds with the countries of the region. The Ministers addressed the Summit's untapped potential as a forum for the gathering of Ibero-American countries.
The Foreign Ministers stated that a considerable number of Argentine nationals -mostly young- live part of the year in Andorra and work in the winter tourism industry.
