Today in Frankfurt, executives of the German bank KFW IPEX-Bank will hold several meetings with Argentine businesspeople from the meat industry. The meetings are coordinated by the Argentine Ambassador to Germany, Edgardo Malaroda, managed by the Argentine Consulate General and Promotion Centre in Frankfurt, and organized by the President of the Argentine Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Meat and Meat Derivatives, Miguel Schiaritti.
German bank KFW IPEX-Bank is a 100% subsidiary of KFW Development Bank, a historical German government-owned institution that has played a key role in German development and provided major financing for the German reunification, with headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany's "economic" centre.
The Argentine companies participating in the meetings include leading representatives of the beef, pork and poultry industries, such as Ecocarnes S.A, Arrebeef S.A., Gorina S.A, Carnes Argentinas Seleccionadas S.A., PORMAG, Tres Arroyos S.A., Noelma S.A., Stertz S.A., las Camelias S.A, Soychú S.A, and Calisa S.A.
These international meetings serve as an opportunity to show the progress made in one of our main export industries, and for this powerful German institution to consider providing funds for investment projects in capital goods, such as innovative machines and fixtures, effluent management, and production cost reduction, with a view to increasing Argentina's sales and export revenue.
The meetings will also be attended by the presidents of the Argentine Chamber of Poultry Companies (CEPA in Spanish); the Argentine Association of Pork Producers (AAPP in Spanish), and the Meat Exporters Consortium.
The KFW Development Bank is currently providing funds for our renewable energy industry (wind mills), and is considering providing funds for the expansion of freight trains, the Metrobus bus system, road development through public-private partnerships, inland and sea ports, and hospital technology.
