The Interministerial Committee for Export Credit Guarantees (Interministerieller Ausschuss für Exportkreditgarantien) has decided to eliminate the restrictions in force since 2002 on the granting of credit guarantees for projects in Argentina.
Consequently, projects in Argentina involving possible public or private contracting will be eligible for German companies to apply for credit guarantees from the German Federal Government for funding and execution.
After fourteen years of different restrictions, German companies will now be able to improve their financing offers, particularly interest rates and repayment terms, for projects in Argentina.
This will significantly improve German capital investment flows into the Argentine market.
